Todos Santos, Mexico Wedding - Cliff + Jenny
Cabo San Lucas, aka Cabo, Mexico, is located on the southernmost tip of the Mexican state of Baja Sur about 1000 miles South of the US/Mexico border. The adventure elopement photography potential all across this area is incredible and we will dive into Cliff and Jenny's celebration following this brief description of the area: The state of Baja Sur is bordered by the Pacific Ocean on its Western flank and the Sea of Cortez on its Eastern, essentially making it a beach paradise. The peninsula is a gem for adventure elopement photographers due to these beaches, the giant cacti, and the palm groves that proliferate across the region. That being said, Baja is very remote and most travel requires a rental car which you will likely drive on questionable dirt/sand roads at some point.
There are a few locations on the Baja Peninsula that can be flown to directly and offer easy access to the beautiful coastlines in the area; one of these is Cabo. Cabo and the small surrounding towns are brimming with beautiful beaches, surf breaks, palm groves, and wedding/elopement locations. It is easy to fly directly into Cabo and there are plenty of hotels and all-inclusive resorts in the area to choose from if you are looking for lodging directly in town.
Cliff and Jenny chose the beautiful Rancho de Corazon as their venue, which is approximately 50 miles North of Cabo San Lucas, on the Pacific side, in the town of Todos Santos. Wedding photographers and elopement photographers alike rejoice at the sight of Rancho de Corazon! After driving a nondescript dirt road less than 1/2 a mile outside of downtown, we pulled up to a giant palm grove which the Rancho is nestled within. The venue is incredible and is home to a beautiful pool area, many secluded hang outs, a lovely bar, a freshly raked sand floor ceremony site, and immaculate reception area, all in the midst of the lovely shade-providing palm grove. Upon our arrival we had a slight freak out as our wedding photographer minds were blown by the beauty of this venue.
